Get a Quality Education

When you spend time second-guessing yourself and trying to analyze situations that you are not fully educated about, you can easily feel stressed and uneasy. It is difficult to feel confident in your thoughts and actions when you are unsure about them. Others can sense this lack of confidence, and this can make it more difficult to lead your team. Consider seeking a higher level degree in your field—perhaps from a specialized mba program—so that you can have the knowledge and expertise necessary for success.

Take Care of Your Health

Your personal health and well-being play a direct role in your ability to manage stress. All managerial positions come with some level of stress, and your weight, cholesterol level and other factors can inhibit your ability to think on your feet without feeling an overwhelming sense of stress and anxiety. When you take care of your health, such as by eating a healthy diet, your body can more easily cope with stress.

Get Adequate Sleep and Exercise Daily

In addition, both sleep and exercise can affect your stress level and your ability to cope with issues that arise over the course of a day. Exercise, for example, is a great way to relieve stress and to help you to feel more grounded and relaxed. Ample sleep at night works in this same way.
